Candler Hills Golf Club will host the 10th annual Ocala Open Professional Tournament on March 16th -18th with a charity Pro-Am being played March 15th.
The Ocala Open has become a tradition at Candler Hills Golf Club and has benefitted the community by partnering with local businesses and residents to enjoy a great game of golf while raising funds to donate to local charities.
To date the tournament has raised almost $250,000 and has benefitted Hospice of Marion County, Inc. and Interfaith Emergency Services. Hospice of Marion County, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide exemplary compassionate comfort for the terminally ill and support services for the families/ caregivers. Interfaith Emergency Services is also a not-for-profit organization which brings together people of all faiths providing basics necessities such as food, shelter, clothing and emergency financial assistance to those in need in our community.
The 2015 Ocala Open was a great success as the two charities spilt $55,000 that was raised with generous sponsorships by local business who embraced and supported the event.
